The R. A. Shaw Private Industrial Training Institute is set up by the Ram Awadh Shaw Memorial Trustee Board. It was the cherished dream of the President/Secretary to provide vocational training to a large number of less educated rural youth sand women folk in various job oriented courses in technical and commercial discipline in an institute so that they find their ample scope of securing employment in Government/Private industries or be entrepreneurs themselves. The dream was transformed into reality with the establishment of this institute in the year 2012.

A Shaw Private Industrial Training Institute is a category-I institute i.e all the courses / trades / units of the institution have already been accorded / affiliated to national council for vocational training (N.C.V.T.) govt of india,New Delhi.The Training program is looked after/governed by the S.C.V.T. with the directorate of industrial training,vocational training institute campus, Newtown, Rajarhat, Kolkata,West Bengal. The basis of examination (Final trade test / Semester system)throughout the country is conducted by N.C.V.T., govt. of India New Delhi.
